    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HPIC V4R1 FASTIC=(,DUMP) process        *
    *                      terminates with ABEND S0C1              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    HPIC V4R1 FASTIC=(,DUMP) process terminates with ABEND S0C1
    ( ABEND0C1 ), ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) and ABEND S138
    ( ABEND138 ), when the system issues message IEF238D
    ( MSGIEF238D ) and an operator replies "CANCEL" to this message.
    Because HPIC dose not notify an error termination to DFSDSS,
    then image copy process continues, thus, HPIC tries putting a
    record although the image copy data set has not been opened.
    As a result, HPIC V4R1 terminates with ABEND S0C1, S0C4, and
    S138.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJFCDN has been modified to issue an ESTAE macro and notify
    an error termination to DFSDSS to avoid ABEND S0C1, S0C4, and
    S138.

    FABJFCD7, FABJFCD8 and FABJFCD9 have been reassembled.
