PK24029: DRF DOES NOT DO A PITR DUE TO CA-SORT SYNTAX ERROR ON THE MAINSIZE PARAMETER

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A simple PITR does not occur due to syntax errors with CA-SORT.
CA-SORT expects the 'mainsize' parm to be expressed in bytes or
K bytes (MAINSIZE=»n|nK|) instead it is expressed in M bytes.
This causes a syntax error and no sort output. The recovery job
ends normally.

DRF passes a parameter list to the SORT utility with a user
supplied MAINSIZE in megabytes.  Depending on the SORT utility
you have installed in your system, megabytes may not be a valid
input value.

DRF will continue to accept megabytes as the input value for
