PK23946: ADMIN TOOL GEN LINE COMMAND DOES NOT PROCESS THE KEEP AND REMOVE DEFAULT OPTIONS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• For the PADIX ZPARM of NO, GEN does not process the K(eep) and
  R(emove) options for DB2 DDL Defaults. It leaves out the PADDED
  option when specified, and include NOT PADDED. This is the
  opposite of what it should be doing.
  

Local fix

• correct DDL, use PADIX YES.

  *                 GEN on DB2 V8 to request the GEN of indexes  *
  *                 with a  PADDED/NOT  PADDED  clause, and who  *
  *                 request  that  defaults be Kept or Removed,  *

• The  default  values for PADDED/NOT PADDED are governed by the
  ZPARM PADIX value of Yes or No.
