**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS * * Version 4 Release 1 users ( FMID=H1J0410 ) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the primary index or secondary * * index database is not formatted * * database, HPIC Image Copy function * * terminates with RC=8 and the message * * DFS301A ( MSGDFS301A ) as an open error * * even if VIC=Y is specified in the ICEIN * * control statement. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When the primary index or secondary index database is not formatted database, HPIC Image Copy function terminates with RC=8 and the message DFS301A ( MSGDFS301A ) as an open error even if VIC=Y is specified in the ICEIN control statement. HPIC Image Copy function allows the not formatted primary index and secondary index database, when VIC=Y is specified in the ICEIN control statement. HPIC Image Copy function changes the specification of handling of the return code. When the PSINDEX database is empty, HPIC Image Copy function does not handle the return code even if EMPTYIDX= parameter is specified in the HPSRETCD.
