Error description

• NCF USES THE FOURTH WORD IN THE IMS SAVE
  AREA AS A TEMPROARY STORAGE LOCATION FOR
  THE RETURN ADDRESS OF A SUBROUTINE.  THIS
  CAN MAKE DEBUGGING AN ABEND MORE DIFFICULT
  BECAUSE THE RETURN ADDRESS IN THE SAVE
  AREA APPEARS TO BE INCONSISTENT WITH THE
  OTHER VALUES IN THE SAVE AREA.

  NCF uses the fourth word in the IMS save area as a temporary
  storage location for the return address of a subroutine.
  This can make debugging an Abend more difficult because the
  return address in the save area appears to be inconsistent
  with the other values in the save area.
  

Problem conclusion

• NCF module CFNCOMP2 has been modified to save the subroutine
  return address in a new field in the LUB instead of at 12(R13).
