Error description
DYNAMIC SQL STATEMENT TRUNCATED AFTER REACHING 5000 (DECIMAL) BYTES. When customer goes into Thread History to display the dynamic SQL statement, in spite of specifying LROWS=9999, the SQL statement is still truncated. Explanation: the dynamic SQL statement text is obtained through IFCID 63, which has a limit of 5000 (decimal) bytes. See the comments in SDSNMACS(DSNDQW01): NOTE: THE MAXIMUM LENGTH OF ANY TRACE FIELD IS 5000 (DECIMAL) BYTES. THEREFORE, THE USER SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THE SQL STATEMENT AT THE END OF IFCID 63 WILL BE TRUNCATED AFTER REACHING 5000 (DECIMAL) BYTES. In case you want to see the full SQL statement, you have two options: If the statement is in the dynamic statement cache, you can use IFCID 317 to retrieve the full SQL statement through the READS interface of the IFI. If the statement is not in the dynamic statement cache, you can use the new IFCID 350. Unlike IFCID 63, it contains the full SQL statement text.
