APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In the ALTER COLUMEN panel, for the update of a USA DATE format
column, to a TIMESTAMP, the conversion was done incorrectly and
the subsequent LOAD abended.

Local fix

  • Date can be reformatted to ISO, which works, or SUBSTR may
be used in a DSNTIAUL to reformat the USA date into ISO as
a temporary workaround.

Problem conclusion

  • The ALC process has been updated to convert USA and Euro DATE
formats to ISO Timestamp format.
