APAR status

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool fails with a SQLCODEN101 when
executing SQL created by the DDL line command if the subsystem
is at DB2 R810 in compatability mode.

Local fix

  • Use the PROMPT YES option and select option
   1 - Execute the statement
on panel ADB2PSTM 'Statement Execution Prompt'
which would be displayed when attempting to execute the amended
DDL.
Or:
Save the SQL into a dataset and use SPUFI to execute it.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DB2 Administration Tool failed with *
*                      SQLCODE -101 when executing SQL created *
*                      by the DDL line command if DB2 R810 was *
*                      in Compatability Mode.                  *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

SQLCODE -101 was encountered after editing the DDL (Statement
is too complex for Compatability mode.  It is a DB2  V8 error
but circumvention is being implemented.)
