Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool R710, who   *
  *                 use ALC with a DROP table, are affected.     *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When altering(ALC)  a  table, sometimes *
  *                      a DROP/CREATE of the table is required. *
  *                      The  Unloaded  data for each table will *
  *                      be read  by  ADB27AC  and  written to a *
  *                      converted  Unload dataset even if there *
  *                      is no data changes necessary.           *
  *                      .** NOTE                                *
  *                      * The ALC process has been changed with *
  *                      Skip Convert (SC)  enhancement added to *
  *                      recognize when the data of a table will *
  *                      not need conversion.                    *
  *                      * The Unload control cards in  SYSPUNCH *
  *                      will be converted as necessary for each *
  *                      table with an action of DROP or DROP-SC *
  *                      * The  unloaded  data  for a table with *
  *                      action  DROP  will  be  converted but a *
  *                      table  with  action DROP-SC will not be *
  *                      converted.                              *
  *                      .* The LOAD utility will always use the *
  *                      converted   control   cards   and   the *
  *                      converted  data  when  DROP  and UNLOAD *
  *                      data (not converted) when DROP-SC.      *
  *                      .* The  avoidance   of  converting  the *
  *                      UNLOAD  data, DROP-SC,  is  expected to *
  *                      have a  positive performance  impact on *
  *                      the ALC WSL and JCL runtime.            *
