PK18632: PANEL ADB2LCAT DOES NOT SHOW ANY LISTC INFORMATION FOR HSM MIGRA TED DATASETS

APAR status

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool's panel  ADB2LCAT 'LISTCAT Output
  Display',which is displayed when the LISTC line command is
  issue on panel ADB21DSN 'Data sets for aaa', does no show any
  information for non-partitioned multiple data set objects which
  have been HSM migrated.
  

Local fix

• Recall the datasets to DASD before using the command.

  *                 segmented or non-partitioned tablespaces,    *
  *                 are affected.                                *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: LISTCAT output display  from ADB2LCAT,  *
  *                      when the LISTC was issued on ADB21DSN,  *
  *                      did  not  show  any  information  for   *
  *                      non-partitioned data set objects which  *
  *                      had been HSM migrated.                  *

  *                      The  LISTC  command did not perform as  *
  *                      expected  for   segmented   or  simple  *
  *                      tablespaces and indexes. It works fine  *
  *                      with   partitioned   tablespaces   and  *
  *                      indexes.  The results of the LISTC for  *
  *                      segmented  tablespaces  were  returned  *
  *                      only at the cluster level.              *

  Panel ADB2LCAT did not show any LISTC information for HSM
  migrated datasets.
  

Problem conclusion

• ADB2LCAT  was  using LISTC LEVEL which does display the data
  and index entries information.

  Panel  ADB21DSN  has  been  changed  to  display the LISTCAT
  information for the segmented tablespaces or non-partitioned
  tablespaces.
