IMS release can be obtained * * from RECON data set. * * In case that both IMS releases - * * for the log input and for the IMS * * control region - are the same * * -do not use model//LOGIN * * Use model //LOGIN only when both IMS * * releases are different. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** IQCSELCT programs for automatic checkpoint locator are changed to obtain IMS release from RECON data sets, if no //LOGIN DD is present in the JCL. Samples for RECOVERAB, RECOVERDM and REPROCESS JCL are changed to include the DD cards for all data sets used with automatic checkpoint locator. Please, check members IQCRCAB, IQCRCDM and IQCRPRS in install library hlq.SIQCSAMP.
Problem conclusion
IQCSELCT automatic checkpoint locator programs and samples are changed to remove the requirement for model //LOGIN DD in case that IMS release for logs and IMS is the same, samples are updated to show all DD statements for automatic checkpoint locator.
