APAR status

Error description

• HP Load job got ABENDU3740 with MSGHPSR3740E for HIDAM/OSAM
  database whose DBD has PTR=NT definition.  A single byte of the
  storage area following the pointer save area (PSA) has been
  overridden with X'00'.  Other symptoms are possible depending
  on which control block is following the PSA.

  High Performance Load job gets ABENDU3740 with MSGHPSR3740E for
  HIDAM/OSAM database whose DBD has PTR=NT definition. Because
  single byte of storage area following the pointer save area
  (PSA) has been overridden with X'00'. When the area is a DSG
  table entry (DTE), the first byte of the DDNAME field nullified
  and the process in the module HPSRFIG1 terminates with RC=16.
  Other symptom is possible depending on which control block is
  following the PSA.
  

Problem conclusion

• The modules HPSRPTRn (n= 7, 8 and 9) have been modified to
  correct the logic when the length of PSA is zero.
