Error description

  • - A DATABASE PARTITION DOES NOT GO THROUGH DYNAMIC ALLOCATION
UNTIL IT IS BEING OPENED. CCF HAS BEEN UPDATED TO REMOVE
THE ALLOCATION VALIDATION AFTER A /STA DB COMMAND FOR A
       DATABASE PARTITION.
    - FOR A DISPLAY COMMAND, WHEN THE NAME OF A DATABASE PARTITION
MATCHES THE WILDCARD PATTERN, WE WILL RETURN THE NAME OF THE
MAIN DATABASE PARTITION, EVEN IF THAT NAME DOES NOTMATCH
    THE WILDCARD PATTERN.

    ****************************************************************
    A /STA DB command receives CCF0488I RC=99 for a partitioned
database even though the command was successful.
When issuing Display Commands with Wildcards against a
partition of a partitioned database, the main database
    name is not properly displayed.

Problem conclusion

  • A database partition does not go through Dynamic Allocation
until it is being opened. CCF has been updated to remove the
Allocation Validation after a /STA DB command for a
    database partition.
For a Display Command, when the name of a Database Partition
matches the Wildcard pattern, we will return the name of the
main database partition, even if that name does not match the
    wildcard pattern.
