This APAR includes fixes for following problems:
    - HPIC Recovery function causes the PPRC to be suspended, when
HPIC processes the OSAM database and HPIO=Y is specified.
Because the PPRC suspends are caused by HPIC with HPIO=Y
option that is building CCW chains with "short domains".
    - HPIC Recovery function terminates with U0097 ( ABENDU0097 ),
when HPIC processes the OSAM database and HPIO=N is specified.
Because HPIC mishandles the return code from FABJOINT.
    - HPIC Image Copy function sets the incorrect value to the
header record of the image copy data set for the secondary
index DB, when type-A image copy process under IMS Parallel
      Reorganization for z/OS Version 3 Release 1 with INDEXBLD=YES
      is requested.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJOINT has been modified to put a correct count of write CCWs
    into each LR.

FABJRDB7, FABJRDB8, and FABJRDB9 have been modified to bypass
OPEN macro with TYPE=J option for OSAM database, when HPIO=N is
    specified.

FABJRDB7, and FABJRDB8 have been modified to check correctly the
return code from FABJOINT called by the OPEN request.

    FABJDRQS has been reassembled.
