APAR status

Error description

  • Admin Tool does not use a template properly, it seems to be too
long, but this works in ordinary batch.

Local fix

  • manually correct the template.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When entering DSN for template, length  *
*                      was  allowed  to  exceed  71 character  *
*                      limit.                                  *

*                      Templates contained symbolic variables  *
*                      that generate long values for DSN.      *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

Panel ADB25TE has been modified to limit DSN value entered to
71 characters.  Panel ADB25TD uses short versions of symbolic
variables to  conserve  space in constructing DSN.  Users may
need to use short version of symbolic variables when creating
long  DSNs  as well.  Skeleton ADB25TL1 has moved the dataset
name to new line to maximize space available.
