PK14562: SITE DEFAULT STEP IN IVP IS REMOVED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HPIC IVP made a site default module and required it be put into
  APF. However, the test module should not be APF authorized.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HPIC V4 IVP ( FABJIVP ) fails if the    *
  *                      library for HPIC site default module    *
  *                      of IVP is not registered as APF         *
  *                      authorized library.                     *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  HPIC V4 requests  all libraries that concatenated in the STEPLIB
  are registered as APF Authorized Library. Consequence of that
  HPIC IVP fails if the generated site default module in the JCL
  is not in the APF Authorized Library.
  
  But the purpose of this site default module is for IVP process,
  so HPIC should not request to put such test module into APF.
  
  The site default generation step in IVP is removed by this APAR.
  

Problem conclusion

• FABJIVP JCL has been modified not to generate HPIC Site Default
  module and use site default in the following steps.
