PK11060: PANEL ADB21TAB FAILS TO WARN USER IF CONFLICTING OPTIONS ARE CHOSEN FOR ALTER ADD COLUMN NOT NULL WITH NO DEFAULT

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool users can use AL command to alter a
  table to add a column. Defining the new column as NOT NULL and
  specifying NO for DEFAULT results in a new column definition
  of NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT.

  Although defining a NOT NULL column with no DEFAULT clause would
  result in sqlcode104 the Admin tool provides no warning message
  about the conflicting options, nor a re-prompt of panel adb21tab
  to obtain correct options.

  *                      a  correct  one as specified on panel   *
  *                      ADB21TAB, because the  panel  did not   *
  *                      inform  the  user  that the specified   *
  *                      options  were  incompatible  with the   *
  *                      DB2 ALTER command.                      *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Panel ADB21TAB failed to warn user if conflicting options are
  chosen for ALTER ADD COLUMN NOT NULL WITH NO DEFAULT.

  DEFAULT results in a new column definition of NOT NULL WITH
  DEFAULT.
