Error description

  • IVP job (FABLIVP2) gets a condition code 12 in STEP9 following
a msg DSP0116I RECON DATA SETS TO BE INITIALIZED ARE NOT EMPTY
STEPLIB DD has the SDFSRESL dataset as the first library in the
concatenation. IVP.MDALIB should be first dataset in STEPLIB
concatenation to avoid picking up RECON dynamic allocation
members that may be in the SDFSRESL dataset.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IVP job (FABLIVP2) gets a condition *
    *                      code 12 in STEP9 following MSGDSP0116I  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
In the FABLIVP2 jcl, the IMS.SDFSRESL data set is placed
prior to the IVP.MDALIB data set in the STEPLIB concatenation
    of STEP9.

If the IMS.SDFSRESL data set contains the RECON dynamic
allocation members, it is used incorrectly and the IVP job
gets a condition code 12 in STEP9 with the message:
DSP0116I RECON DATA SETS TO BE INITIALIZED ARE NOT EMPTY.

Problem conclusion

  • The JCL FABLIVP2 has been modified to place the IVP.MDALIB data
set prior to the IMS.SDFSRESL data set in the STEPLIB
    concatenation of STEP9.
