Error description

  • In DB2 object Compare an error message appears whenever a
version file resides on multiple volumes.
Error messages appear similar to the following:

ISPZ000 Version data set error: Data set error ListDSI cc=19,
IKJ58418I PARTIAL DATA SET INFORMATION NOT OBTAINED.
IKJ58419I DATA SET RESIDES ON MULTIPLE VOLUMES.

Local fix

  • pf3 out of the error message popup to continue

Problem conclusion

  • It appeared that multi volume dataset support for Version Files
was missing. The support has now been added.
