    ****************************************************************
The message is produced because after the data is written if
we determine we are at the end of an extent we flush the
current buffer, close the journal extent (which writes an
EOF marker) and switches to the next extent. If in flushing
the new buffer and writing the EOF marker, it cannot fit into
the last track then MSG4936I is issued.

Problem conclusion

  • The end-of-extent marker (JCTEDLDT) is now set to the
antepenultimate track to make sure that we always switch
with enough space left on the current extent.
