Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool an abend0c4 in adb27ac when running
  an ALC column insert or any alter that results in a
  drop / create scenario. Error messages appear similar to:

  From compile unit ADB27AC at entry point CONVERT_DDL at
  statement 4193 at compile unit offset +00051D56 at

  *                      running  an  ALC  column insert or any  *
  *                      alter that  results in a drop / create  *
  *                      scenario in a setting where the choice  *
  *                      of HEAP(,,,FREE....) is used (however,  *
  *                      if the default of KEEP  is  being used  *
  *                      then there is no 0C4 abend).            *

  *                      PK07878 Aparfix package also includes   *
  *                      fixing parts  for  other APARs. These   *
  *                      APARs will  all  be  packaged  in the   *
  *                      same PTF.                               *

  The ALC ADB27AC program fails with a S0C4 when LE/370 HEAP=FREE
  option is used.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed for any LE/370 setting on HEAP,
  FREE or KEEP.
  .* PK07878 Aparfix package contains fixing parts for  a  number
  of other APARs. All these apars will be placed in the same PTF.
