PK05506: ADMIN TOOL ALTER INDEX ALL PARTS WITH PROMPT ON USING OPTION 1A PERFORMS CHANGES BUT ALSO SCROLLS THROUGH INDIVIDUAL ALTERS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When an alter of the priqty of a partitioning index is done, for
  all part, with prompt on, and option 1A is cheosen, all cahnges
  are done, however admin still loops through each alter to be
  done unnecessarily.
  

Local fix

• use PF3 end key to terminate prompts

Problem conclusion

• A customer, who enters some value in the ALL PARTS Area, with
  PROMPT ON were directed to ADB2PSTM (Statement Execution Prompt)
  panel for each partition index to be updated.

  Code has been fixed to "mass" update all Partitions, when the
  ALL PARTS Area is used and Prompt is ON.
