Error description

  • In DB2 Admininstration Tool some DB2 zparm display panels cause
message, 'Invalid value', because a value entered in a prior
panel is carried over and auto-filled, or pre-populated, in a
new panel which requires a different datatype.
    .
    Panels adb2z2d adb2zbd and adb2zbh all have a DETAIL field. A
value of YES entered in panel adb2z2d is a valid value. If
user's next action is pf3 and then use option bd (Display buffer
pools) or use option bh (Display buffer pool hit ratio), the
YES value appears in panel adb2zbd or panel adb2zbh in the
DETAIL field, where an interval or * are the only values that
are accepted as input. Hitting ENTER without overtyping the YES
value in the DETAIL field results in message 'Invalid value'.

Local fix

  • Overtype the YES value with an interval or * when required.
