PK04070: BTS PLAYBACK FUNCTION (BTSAISR0) DOES NOT RUN WITH PL/I PSB

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When BTS Playback function BTSAISR0 runs with PL/I PSB,
  it does not write any DL/I call trace into BTSOUT.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: BTS V3 Users with Playback                   *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: BTS Playback function (BTSAISR0) has a  *
  *                      Consideration that BTS runs with only   *
  *                      LANG=ASSEM/COBOL PSB.                   *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  When BTS Playback function (BTSAISR0) runs with PL/I PSB,
  it does not write any DL/I call trace into BTSOUT.
  So when BTSAEDT0 runs with this BTSOUT, it does not put the
  formatted screen with BTS0004W message.
  It is a restriction applied to the PSB being used by Playback.
  BTS Playback function (BTSAISR0) is enhanced to remove the
  PL/I PSB restriction.
  

Problem conclusion

• BTS is modified to run with PL/I language specified in the PSB
  by the LANG= keyword in addition to ASSEM or COBOL.
  
  The IMS BTS User's Guide and Reference ( SC18-7149-00 )
  will be updated with following changes:
