PK03296: IMS CONNECT WILL NOT SHUT DOWN AFTER IMS CONNECT ABENDS

Error description

• - An abend in module CEXCONSJ may be caused by a journal switch
  command.
  - IMS Connect may have to be cancelled due to proper shutdown
    failure.
  - Correct format of event record A7

  2. IMS Connect may have to be cancelled due to proper shutdown
     failure.

Problem conclusion

• The abend in CEXCONSJ during process of the journal switch
  command was not being properly handled and did not result
  in IMS Connect Extensions closing all support tasks. When
  IMS Connect attempts to shutdown, it is waiting for IMS
  Connect Extensions to complete shutdown. Because the abend
  in CEXCONSJ was not handled correctly, IMS Connect
  Extensions will never complete shutdown and the region
  must be cancelled. Code was added to correctly handle
  the abend in CEXCONSJ and ensure proper shutdown of IMS
  Connect Extensions and IMS Connect.
  
  User Actions:
  1. Ensure IMS Connect Extensions region is shut down.
  2. SMP/E Receive and Apply the fix.
  3. No User action required.
