  • SELECT step fails with IQC3054T and the job ends with RC=00.
    The job should terminate and fail with a RC=12.
    The error message received is:
    IQC3054T Checkpoint nnnnn - No End of CheckPoint Record found,
    Terminating

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SELECT step fails with "IQC3054T        *
    *                      Checkpoint   NNN - No End of CheckPoint *
    *                      Record  found, Terminating." The step   *
    *                      ends with RC=0, the return code is not  *
    *                      set to 12.                              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    SELECT step ends with RC=0 when message IQC3054T is issued. The
    step terminates,the return code does not reflect the severe
    error in data( logs).
    

Problem conclusion

  • The programs are changed to preserve the RC as set in message
    generation program for this message and end the step with RC=12.
