Error description

  • The kc.log file is being written under the user's home
    directory instead of the WAS_HOME/profiles/profileName/logs
    directory.

Problem summary

    The kc.log and kc_err.log files were being created under the
    wrong directory. Also, if the user.dir property was set the
    kc.log files were created there instead. The kc.log files
    should be under the profile óÔé¼Ôäós  óÔé¼ £log óÔé¼Ôäó director
    

Problem conclusion

  • The issue was resolved by using the USER_INSTALL_ROOT
    environment variable in the 'log' dir file path definition.
    Now the kc.log and kc_err.log file will be created under the
    profile's 'log' directory.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 9.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
