Error description

  • When generating an ALTER of an object containing a period in
    its name, CM BATCH or COMPARE does not put double quotes around
    the object name in the WSL. When the WSL is executed, the
    following errors may result:
    ADB5044I *** INPUT STATEMENT:
      ALTER INDEX schema.ABC_..D
         SECQTY -1;
    Unexpected token after ABC_ in CREATE INDEX statement --
    IBM0590S ONCODE=9250 The fetchable procedure with entry
    ADBPMSG could not be found
             From entry point MSG7955 at statement 50787 at compile
    unit offset >offset< at entry offset >offset< at
             address >address<.
    Note: Statement numbers are approximate, and may vary somewhat,
    depending on release or other maintenance applied.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When processing an index name that includes quotes (for example,
    ALTER INDEX "ABC_..D"), CM Batch or Object Compare may leave
    out the quotes in the WSL, resulting in errors such as the
    following when the WSLL is executed:

    ADB5044I *** INPUT STATEMENT:
      ALTER INDEX schema.ABC_..D
         SECQTY -1;
    Unexpected token after ABC_ in CREATE INDEX statement --

    IBM0590S ONCODE=9250 The fetchable procedure with entry
    ADBPMSG could not be found
             From entry point MSG7955 at statement 50787 at compile
    unit offset >offset< at entry offset >offset< at
             address >address<.

    Note: Statement numbers are approximate, and may vary somewhat,
    depending on release or other maintenance applied.
