PI99330: CCVBMAIN DATATAKEUP FOR CSD CONFIGURATION NAME LESS THAN 8 CHARACTERS GENERATES BLANK CONNECTION NAME

Error description

• The CCVBMAIN batch utility DATATAKEUP of 7-character or less
  CICS Configurations names, inserts blanks into the associated
  remote connection names.
  
  The CCVBMAIN batch utility is used to perform data takeup of
  CICS Configurations via the DATATAKEUP control statement.  The
  input file contains statements to define Configurations with
  7-character or less names, along with associated remote
  connections for those Configurations.
  
  The utility completes RC=0.  However, the defined
  Configurations have blank entries for the remote connections
  and the transform variables when the Configuration name has
  less than 8 characters.

  Failure to create the CICS Configuration definition when the
  DATATAKEUP REPLACE=NO option is specified and the Configuration
  does not exist.

  The following additional issues with DATATAKEUP are also

    CICS Configuration name is less than 8 characters
  
  - failure to create the CICS Configuration definition when the
    DATATAKEUP REPLACE=NO option is specified and the
    Configuration does not exist.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS Configuration Manager is corrected. The CCVBMAIN utility
  is changed so the DATATAKEUP control statement:
  
  - creates remote system connections when the
    CICS Configuration name is less than 8 characters
  
  - creates transformation variables when the
    CICS Configuration name is less than 8 characters
  
  - creates the CICS Configuration definitions when the
    DATATAKEUP REPLACE=NO option is specified and the
    Configuration does not exist.
