PI99234: CCF JOBS WITH /DBR COMMAND FAILING WITH ABEND90A

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CCF jobs with /DBR command failing with ABENDS90A when CCF
  issues the FREEPOOL macro to free a buffer, but is incorrectly
  specifying a DCB address during this process.
  

Local fix

• Change the CCF Global Option of DBRC to NODBRC, which keeps
  CCF from verifying the state of the database and alleviating
  the S90A.

  ABENDS90A or ABENDS30A may occur because of the FREEPOOL macro
  which specified an incorrect DCB address if you execute IMS
  Command Control Facility batch job which has following
  conditions:
  
  condition 1:
  1. Option 3(IMS OM) is selected in Command Routing Technique
  Option of CCF IMS System Information.
  2. Option 1(ABEND), 2(Return Code) or 3(Issue WTOR) is selected
  in IMS Command Control Facility Failure Option "DBRC" of CCF
  Global Options.
  3. /DBD or /DBR command without ALL parameter is issued.
  
  condition 2:
  1. Option 3(IMS OM) is selected in Command Routing Technique
  Option of CCF IMS System Information.
  2. Option 2(use DBRC) is selected in IMS Command Control
  Facility Database Option "/START DB ACCESS" of CCF Global
  Options.
  3. /START DB ACCESS=UP command is issued.
  
  This APAR also responds to the following problem related to
  FREEPOOL macro.
  The unnecessary buffer may not be freed and be accumulated
  during  executing IMS Command Control Facility batch job because
  of the FREEPOOL macro is not issued if you execute the batch job
  which has following conditions:
  
  condition 1:
  1. Option 1(APPC/IMS) or 2(APPC/MVS) is selected in Command
  Routing Technique Option of CCF IMS System Information.
  2. Option 1(ABEND), 2(Return Code) or 3(Issue WTOR) is selected
  in IMS Command Control Facility Failure Option "DBRC" of CCF
  Global Options.
  3. /DBD or /DBR command without ALL parameter is issued.
  
  condition 2:
  1. Option 1(APPC/IMS) or 2(APPC/MVS) is selected in Command
  Routing Technique Option of CCF IMS System Information.
  2. Option 2(use DBRC) is selected in IMS Command Control
  Facility Database Option "/START DB ACCESS" of CCF Global
  Options.
  3. /START DB ACCESS=UP command is issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following modules have been changed to fix the above
  problem: CCFIXCF0, CCFEXEC0
