APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Comparison tool reports differences in defaults of the rowid
  and lob-column and generates a strategy with drop and recreate
  of the table/tablespace. In addition that strategy is wrong,
  because the existing index on the auxiliary table is not
  recognized and is implemented a second time and the load-Utility
  abends because handling of rowid-column is not correct.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Two issues are addressed:               *

  *                      correct default value for a ROWID       *
  *                      column.                                 *

  *                      2- Compare does not use the system      *
  *                      setting for Inline Length of a LOB      *
  *                      column when it is not specified in      *
  *                      the DDL.                                *

  Comparison tool always finds differences in the lob tablespace
  though it is unchanged.
  
  This APAR contains two fixes to address the following problems:
  
  1- DDL reader does not generate "GENERATED ALWAYS" clause for a
     ROWID column when "GENERATED ALWAYS" clause is omitted, thus
     detects a change for the ROWID column. It will generated
     wrong WSL.
  
  2- When Inline Length of a LOB column is not specified in the
     DDL, Compare uses an incorrect value, thus detects a change
     for the LOB column. It will generated wrong WSL.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved.
