Error description
In an environment using IHS as a web server with Cognos 10.2.1 deployed to Websphere Application Server, executing a report as PDF with accessibility enabled in the run options, or executing a report as Excel 2007 throws an HTTP 404 error. This is a timing issue and may occur in other configurations depending on timing of requests. The behavior may be intermittent. If the dispatcher setting Temporary Object Location is changed to Content Store the issue does not occur.
Local fix
Change Temporary Object Location to Content Store. This could have overhead/performance implications on Content Manager so be sure to test thoroughly before moving such a change into production.
