PI99045: RC=32 FROM IB DUE TO SIGNON PROCESSING. DRF ABENDU384-22 IN POINTER CHECKER.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1. DRF ABENDU384-22 in pointer checker when processing the
  SECIX of a HIDAM DB where the SECIX is a HISAM with overflow.
  2. DRF RC=32 from IB due to signon processing because a) some
  prior IB jobs had failed, leaving signon records in DBRC and/or
  b) multiple MASs were active with the same IB jobs active.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When DRF jobs are run in parallel       *
  *                      against the same set of RECONs and the  *
  *                      IBPREF() and PCPREF() parameters        *
  *                      specify the 4 character prefix, then    *
  *                      it is possible that DBRC sign on        *
  *                      errors could occur in the IB or PC      *
  *                      address spaces because duplicate        *
  *                      started task names are spawned. This    *
  *                      causes the DRF recoveries to fail.      *
  ****************************************************************
  When DRF jobs are run in parallel against the same set of
  RECONs and the IBPREF() and PCPREF() parameters specify the 4
  character prefix, then it is possible that DBRC signon errors
  could occur in the IB or PC address spaces because duplicate
  started task names are spawned.  This causes the DRF recoveries
  to fail.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been changed to ensure that unique IB and PC started
  task names are used.
