PI99041: MODEBKP DD STATEMENT MISSING WHEN OVERRIDING DYNAMIC ALLOCATION OF DATASETS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When overriding the Dynamic Allocation of datasets, the one time
  automatic backup and conversion of the MODEFILE for upgrading
  between versions of the product did not properly associate a
  DSN to the MODEBKP DD which prevented the DD from being
  allocated and opened.
  

Local fix

• 1) Convert the MODEFILE via the ISPF panels to the newest
  version and update the JCL with the new DSN.
  2) Manually add the MODEBKP DD one time to the JCL for the
  inline conversion to be successful.
