APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the instance of IIDR CDC for z/OS is configured with the
default DB2 configuration setting TABLEPATHLEVEL=2, attempting
to define a source-side derived column refrencing a table using
a two level table path will fail with the error message,
CHC1232E Poorly formatted input was received for request 2013,
    Based-On identifier count

Local fix

  • Change the DB2 setting TABLEPATHLEVEL to three, and include the
database, owner and table name when referencing the table in
    the derived column

    ****************************************************************
The processing of the derived column expression only handled
the legacy three-level path case. It wasn't updated to cover
the two-level paths when that support was introduced. A case
should be added for TABLEPATHLEVEL=2 where referencing table
uses a two level table path.

Problem conclusion

  • The derived expression code was updated to correct this issue.
