Error description

• If  -, >, *  are inside a comment block QMF 11 returns the
  following unexpected message:
  
  QUERY MESSAGES:
  THE EXECUTE STATEMENT DOES NOT IDENTIFY A VALID PREPARED
  STATEMENT
  
  For example, the following fails in QMF:
  
  /* -TEST */
  SELECT 1 FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1
  
  QUERY MESSAGES:

  STATEMENT
