Error description

  • When using the Admin Tool GEN function to generate all
    schema-based objects, triggers, UDFS, STPs, etc., the following
    error message may be issued by the parser:
                                >table-name<
    ADB1848W Unformatted DDL will be generated for the following
    object because it could not be parsed. Please verify the DDL.
                                Reason code = 28
                                >object-name<
    ADB2PA: The following statement could not be parsed :
    (the statement in question follows.)
    Token number =  >token number<    , Token = >token<
    (A specific error statement relating to the token follows.)
    Note: This error occurs only when the parm SCH='%' is
    generated in the JCL.

Local fix

  • To avoid this error, on panel ADB21, type 'h' to list all schema
    objects. Then type primary command 'GEN' on the primary
    command line.
    The parameter SCH will be generated in the JCL for each schema,
    e.g.
      SCH=
    'ADB'
     ;
      SCH=
    'ABC'
     ;
     etc.
    With these parameters, the issue of the parser error should not
    occur.
