PI98255: DB2 ADMIN TOOL - THE ADBDIAG FILE IS DISPLAYED AFTER ENTERING NEXT FROM PANEL ADB27CA WITH NO CHANGES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The ADBDIAG file is displayed after entering "NEXT" from panel
  ADB27CA with no changes. An Alter was done on a table which
  caused panel ADB27PGA to be displayed with message:
  
   The new row length is GREATER than the allowable record size.
   Either alter the table space to change the page size or alter
   the table to change the row length to better utilize space.
  
  and actions:
  Press ENTER to continue, or END to return to the previous panel.
  
  Pressing "ENTER to continue" goes to panel panel ADB27CA.
  Entering NEXT with no other actions displays an ISPF panel
  displaying ADBDIAG file which has info not helpful to the user.
  A better error message is needed in place of the ADBDIAG file.

  This APAR adds a fix to display ADBMSGS file contents in
  situations of such errors, that will list more meaningful
  messages.
