APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When starting the UCD Server, if the server does not have
sufficient disk space available, it will attempt to rewrite the
installed.properties file with encrypted values. However,
because there isn't enough disk space available, it will
eventually fail to write to the new config file. Rather than
aborting the start up process and reporting the error, the
server will overwrite the old properties file. This will cause
    unpredictable behavior.

Local fix

  • Ensure that your server has sufficient disk space before
    running.
Backup your server and configuration files regularly. Replacing
the overwritten config file with a back up should help expedite
    recovery.
