• This APAR enables HP Prefix Resolution to use the database
  definitions (DBD) from the IMS catalog instead of from the
  DBDLIB specified in the IMS DD when IMS management of ACBs is
  enabled.

  This APAR enables HP Prefix Resolution to use the database
  definitions (DBD) from the IMS catalog instead of from the
  DBDLIB specified in the IMS DD when IMS management of ACBs is
  enabled.
  
  To invoke Prefix Update using the database definitions from
  the IMS catalog instead of from the DBDLIB, the following JCL
  changes are required:
  - Specify the name of the SGLXLOAD library of Tools Base to the
   STEPLIB DD statement.
  - Specify DFSDF= parameter in the FABYIN DD statement.
  - Specify the name of the IMS.PROCLIB data set in which the
   DFSDF member exists to the PROCLIB DD statement.

  The following control statements are added:
  
  DFSDF
  
  DFSDF specifies the suffix of the DFSDFxxx member in the
  IMS.PROCLIB data set. The member with this suffix must exist in
  a data set specified in the PROCLIB DD statement. If the member
  contains the ACBMGMT=CATALOG parameter in the CATALOG  section,
  IMS managed ACBs is enabled.
  This control statement is required only when IMS HP Prefix
  Resolution uses IMS managed ACBs through the DFSDFxxx member.
  This DD statement is not required if IMS HP Prefix Resolution
  refers to the DBD libraries or if you enable the IMS management
  of ACBs with the IMS Catalog Definition exit routine (DFS3CDX0).

  database is not registered to DBRC.
  If you do not specify this control statement, IMSCATHLQ=*NO
  is used.
