*                      on the KDPSTART workspace in Enhanced   *
*                      3270 UI. One with Type LIST and one     *
*                      with Type LOCK is expected. More than   *
*                      the two expected appear.                *
*                      2. Higher than expected CPU usage in    *
*                      agent address space.                    *
*                      3. ABEND0C3 in KDPAGENT                 *
*                      4. Multiple messages KO2I0186U and      *
*                      KO2I0194I in agent log. Db2 is no       *
*                      longer monitored.                       *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

1. Duplicate Group Names are displayed on the KDPSTART workspace
in Enhanced 3270 UI. One with Type LIST and one with Type LOCK
is expected. More than the two expected appear.
2. Higher than expected CPU usage in agent address space
3. ABEND0C3 in KDPAGENT.
4. Multiple messages KO2I0186U and KO2I0194I in agent log. Db2
is no longer monitored.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • 1.  Improve method to determine which KDPPLEX agent controls
    the Group names in workspace KDPSTART.
2.  Reduce CPU usage in agent.
3.  Prevent ABEND0C3 and messages by improving connection
    logic.
