PI97240: CM BATCH COMPARE RUN JOB SQLCODE -612 / SQLCODEN612 DUPLICATE NAME ERROR ATTEMPTING TO RECREATE AN INDEX

Error description

• A CM Batch or Compare analyze job does not issue an error if a
  change attempts to add a column to an index that already
  includes that column.  When the job is run to recreate the
  index, the following error may result:
  sqlerror on CREATE     command, EXECUTE    function
   DSNT408I SQLCODE = -612, ERROR:  column_name IS A DUPLICATE
  NAME
   DSNT418I SQLSTATE   = 42711 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE

  The analyze phase of Change Management or Object
  Compare does not validate the change statements when
  adding a duplicate column to an existing index. Applying
  the change and recreating the index may therefore result
  in the following error:
  
  sqlerror on CREATE command, EXECUTE function
  DSNT408I SQLCODE = -612, ERROR: column_name IS A DUPLICATE NAME
  DSNT418I SQLSTATE = 42711 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved.,
  
  The following error message ADB8064E will be
  displayed during the analyze phase if an attempt is made
  to add a duplicate column to an index:
  
  ADB8064E The column_name column to be added to the index_name
  index is already an index column.
