Local fix

Circumvention: The corruption is caused by a double entry of the
same override on the command line of a RUN() function call
which can be avoided by removing the duplicate entry to avoid
the crash. For example, -IE2S1 is listed twice in the following
command.  Remove one of the -IE2S1 entries to avoid the crash.
/opt/ibm/wtx/maps/SUBMAP.mmc -WU -IE1S0 -IE2S1 0 -IE2S1 4 -OE1

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
IBM Transformation Extender customers who use RUN function and
double overrides for the echo adapter

Problem Description:
The process crashes due to double free called from RunAllMaps ()
when the RUN map command line has echo override twice for the
same card. E.g.:
-IE1S0 -IE2S0  -IE3S0  -IE4S0  -IE5S1 0 -IE5S1 4  -OE1

Platforms Affected:
All

Problem conclusion

  • Corrected code to handle double Echo command line override. The
last override will be used.

Applies to:
8.4.1.5, 9.0.0.2

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
