Application Servers, Node Agents, Deployment Managers, and
several administrative utilities are launched within OSGi
frameworks. When OSGi detects changes to the bundles
provisioned by a framework instance it creates temporary files
within the framework's configuration area while updating its
bundle configuration. OSGi deletes these temporary files
during the normal shutdown of a framework instance, which
affords their accumulation whenever framework instances run
for long periods or shutdown abrubtly (e.g., long-running or
killed Application Server processes.)
The accumulation of OSGi temporary files can be prevented by
configuring OSGi property "osgi.embedded.cleanupOnSave=true",
which causes OSGi to clean up (delete) temporary files
immediately upon updating its bundle configuration.

Problem conclusion

Apply APAR PI96616 to configure OSGi property
osgi.embedded.cleanupOnSave=true in the OSGi frameworks
underlying servers and administative utilities in order
to prevent the accumulation of temporary files within
server and profile OSGi configuration areas.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.5.5.14 and 9.0.0.8.  Please refer to the Recommended
