• ERROR DESCRIPTION:Ø
  You have written your own ISPF client application which uses
  the CICS CM provided CCVXXMLS Rexx subroutine module and find
  that the FindElementNAme routine issues a Rexx "say ' '  " that
  results in a blank line to the ISPF panel screen overlaying the
  screen content with blank characters.

Local fix

• Copy the CCVXXMLS Rexx sample from the SCCVSAMP data set to
  your own data set and delete line 669.

  SCCVSAMP member CCVXXMLS is part of a suite of Rexx samples that
  send API command XML requests to the CICS Configuration Manager
  Server.  As supplied, the samples work in batch and they may be
  adapted for use with ISPF.
  
  The CCVXXMLS Rexx sample includes an extraneous SAY statement
  that prints blank lines, with one line for each response XML
  element. Depending upon the XML response, this will often print
  30 to 100 consecutive blank lines in the batch output, or will
  send multiple blank lines as terminal output to the ISPF panel.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS Configuration Manager is corrected.  The extraneous SAY
  statement in SCCVSAMP sample Rexx member CCVXXMLS has been
  removed.
