PI96304: STEP OUTPUT LOG MAY BE INCOMPLETE WHEN MULTIBYTE CHARACTERS ARE INCLUDED IN OUTPUT MESSAGE

APAR status

Error description

• Agents using multibyte characters in their output and in.
  For instance, Japanese locale may see truncated output log.
  Steps to reproduce:
  1) Create a generic process.
  2) Add a Shell step in it.
  3) In a Shell Script body, add a line to echo "Multibyte
  characters"
  NOTE: "Multibyte characters" means characters written by
  multibyte languages like Japanese,
  Korean, Chinese, and so forth.
  4) As for Resource, set UCD agent 6.2.7.0 (or higher) whose
  Windows system locale is multibyte languages like Japanese,
  Korean, Chinese, and so forth.
  5) Run the process and check the end of line of the step output
  log.
  Expected result:
  command exit code: 0
  Acutal result:
  co
  NOTE: "mmand exit code: 0" is missing.
  
  Affected agent versions are 6.2.7.0 or higher.

• Use agent version 6.2.6.1 or lower.
