PI96298: HIGH CPU AND/OR HANGS OBSERVED IN DB2 WORKLOADS

Error description

• This is a PE Fixer for Security Guardium S-TAP for DB2 on z/OS
  (STP) APAR PI91678. PI91678 introduced a potential for a loop in
  all types of DB2 workloads. High CPU consumption (either zIIP or
  CP) may be observed which is identified as a loop in  DB2 Data
  Access Common Collector for z/OS (CQC) module CQCISMPX from
  offsets +94FC to +950A.
  

Local fix

• Stopping STAP will provide immediate relief of the looping
  condition and will allow DB2 threads to resume normal operation.
  RESTORE PTFs for both DB2 Data Access Common Collector for z/OS
  (CQC) APAR PI88237 and Security Guardium S-TAP for DB2 on z/OS
  (STP) APAR PI91678.
