A supported use of the authFilter element in server.xml is to
specify a filter criteria with matchType="notContain" and a
pattern with multiple values separated by |, for example:

<authFilter id="myAuthFilter">
         <requestUrl id="myURL"
urlPattern="/SimpleServlet|/EmployeeRoleServlet|/AllRoleServlet"
matchType="notContain" />
</authFilter>

Due to a code defect, filter criteria with
matchType="notContain" do not properly handle a pattern with
multiple values.  The entire pattern, including the |
characters, are treated as a single value.

Problem conclusion

With this fix, matchType="notContain" supports the specification
of multiple values in the pattern.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 18.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
