APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Additional rules needed for the HIPAA 837 transactions to
validate that N3/N4 at the service line level are not equal to
equivalent N3/N4 at the provider level.

Example: 2420D N3/N4 must be different from 2010AA N3/N4.

These are currently implemented as separate rules (N3 cannot
equal N3, and N4 cannot equal N4) but the entire address should
be compared.

Problem conclusion

  • New disabled rules were added to qualifier file, configurable
rules deliverables and type trees to allow users to configure
these type of validations

Applies to:
HCIP HIPAA 4.4.1.7, Healthcare Payer Hipaa 9.0.2

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
