Error description
When attempting to delete a large quantity of Code Lists, OptimisticLockException errors are observed
Local fix
ITXARTC - RTC61362 MG/MB Circumvention: Delete each individual version of the codelist
Problem summary
Users Affected: Customers deleting large code lists. Problem Description: Customers deleting large code lists, especially when deleting multiple versions of it, may experience OptimisticLockExceptions due to the length of time it takes to delete that many database records when other parts of the system are locking the code list tables. Platforms Affected: All
Problem conclusion
Resolution Summary: The logic to delete code lists was changed to perform faster and without experiencing OptimisticLockExceptions. However, when performing large deletes (or large imports), its highly recommended to do them when little or no EDI processing is occurring as it can negatively affect the performance due to heavy database activity. If you need to delete large code lists during production processing, its recommended to delete individual versions of them instead of deleting all versions at once. Applies to: SPE.COMMON.9.0.0.5 and up.
